Queen's students pitch design solutions for Derry City Walls (Derry Journal, Fri 25 April 2014)

During Queen's University Belfast's Street Society 2014 project a group of masters and undergraduate students worked with the Holywell Trust's City Walls Heritage Project to explore ideas for 'reclaiming' three sections of the City Walls (the Peace Wall at Bishop Gate, the area of the missing Water Bastion and Royal Bastion and the Plinth). The work was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Heritage Council of Ireland. It is hoped that the ideas presented will act as a tool to stimulate conversations with stakeholder organisations and communities about solutions which could be taken forward.
