Directory of Traditional Building Skills Fifth Edition

Preparations are currently underway to update the Directory of Traditional Building Skills which is expected to be published in June 2014.

Produced by the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society, in partnership with the Environment and Heritage Service, the Directory has proven to be a clear, concise and easy-to-use aid for members of the general public undertaking work with historic buildings.

The UAHS is seeking practitioners who have been accredited in the field for the past five years to accepted conservation standards. They must be able to provide three previous examples of work plus photographic evidence that can be used for reference purposes in the directory.

If you are a practitioner or a crafts person or know one that would like to be featured in the fifth edition, apply directly to Nicola Woods at UAHS via email or post, details of which are listed below.

Previous editions of the Directory of Building Skills can be downloaded from the UAHS website ( Please note that the deadline for application is 30th April, 2014.
