72 Hour Urban Action Introduction Workshop | Derry~Londonderry, Nov 6th 2012

In September 2013, as part of the City of Culture 2013 celebrations, the world's first real-time architecture competition will come to Derry~Londonderry in an attempt to transform public space. 120 people within 10 international teams will have a limited budget, defined space and only 3 days and nights to design and build interventions in response to local needs. They will aspire to prove that change is possible, in the most direct and timely way.

72 Hour Urban Action in Stuttgart, Germany.

72 Hour Urban Action will launch the beginning of their research phase on Derry~Londonderry with a workshop to discover and define the mission sites for the competition.

The workshop, on November 6th 2012, will start at 10am at the Verbal Arts Centre. We will tour the city and interview local residents as part of a video research workshop following the 72 Hour Urban Action methodology. The day will conclude with a public lecture in Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin at 7pm with UMSCHICHTEN Architects.
