How can we improve the built environment of Northern Ireland?
Our year-round programme aims to improve understanding of architecture and urban design, and increase professional and public confidence in making Northern Ireland an environment of exceptional quality for all.
Want to learn about how our towns and cities are put together? Visit our EXHIBITIONS to explore: design quality in architecture and urban design, important built environment issues, art/architecture crossovers, and aspects of professional practice.
Get people talking! Make your voice heard at our extensive series of DEBATES AND DISCUSSIONS: in 2010, we looked at Creativity in Housing, Reconnecting Belfast, Roads and Transport in Northern Ireland, Conservation Architecture and many more topics key to Northern Ireland's future. We host lunchbox talks, evening lectures, panel discussions and day-long conferences, all reasonably priced and open to everyone.
Join our ARCHITECTURE TOURS and learn about the fascinating history and interesting characters behind the buildings we see everyday.
Do you love seeing your ideas come to life? Get hands-on at our WORKSHOPS for adults, students and young people. Our children's workshops are always popular, letting young people learn about the world around them while practising their skills in craft and design. Our Student Design Charette launched in 2010, with unique ideas for a challenging site in Belfast. And workshops are key to our community work, raising aspirations, challenging views and contributing to a better environment in Northern Ireland.
