Exhibition: The Belfast StreetSpace Project Launch: Thursday 21 June 2018, 6pm Exhibition continues 22 June - 24 August 2018 Free - all welcome!
PLACE is excited to present this exhibition - part of a two-strand programme which focuses on the development and redevelopment of mixed-use streets in Belfast.
The exhibition features design proposals and models, based on future-mapping of areas such as North Street and Castle Street. These new propositions seek to create streets which are fair, accessible and diverse for all.
StreetSpace Workshop (19-20 June) A two-day workshop will also take place at City Hall on 19 and 20 June. The workshop will steer participants towards generating six new maps of North Street and Castle Street. Places are free, but limited, and should be booked here.
Both the exhibition and workshop reflect a year-long project between students of the MArch/ MSC Urban Design and Regeneration courses at Queen’s University Belfast, in partnership with the Department for Communities and Belfast City Council.
This exhibition and workshop are sponsored by the Department for Communities, hosted by Belfast City Council and supported by the Culture and Society Cluster at the School of Natural and Built Environment, Queen's University.
