From 17 - 19 July 2015, PLACE hosted the first Open House Belfast - Architecture Festival.
As part of the Year of Irish Design 2015 we joined the Open House Worldwide family to open up some of our city's most interesting and exciting spaces to the public, free of charge!
We opened a diverse range of locations - iconic Belfast buildings, infrastructure, places housing bustling behind the scenes activity, and sites suspended with potential energy, as well as a host of designers and artisans who opened their studios and workshops to see and hear about their practices.
We explored and discovered our city’s unique built environment through site visits, public discussions, performances and special access events catering for families, general public and professionals in the field of design.
Resident of, and visitors to Belfast, discovered the city from new perspectives and uncovered the wealth of beauty and activity that we pass by daily.
Thanks for our generous sponsors: Open House Belfast is part of the Open House Worldwide family and is kindly supported by Irish Design 2015, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Arup, Department for Social Development, Perspective Magazine, Arts & Business and Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
