Interdisciplinary practices that relate to place-making (e.g. architecture, urban design, landscape architecture etc.)
Visual art and design that relate or respond to urban landscapes
Socially-engaged practices (social science, education and research)
PLACE receives public funding to deliver a range of outreach and engagement activities, however we receive no funding which specifically supports a gallery programme. Therefore, we attract many more proposals and exhibition-worthy outcomes than we are able to fulfil.
PLACE does not charge a fee to provide exhibition space. However, we are not funded to support the following costs: administration, transportation, installation costs, installation personnel, public liability insurance. These should be considered by anyone proposing to hold an exhibition at PLACE. An Exhibition Contract and Loan Agreement which outline our processes will be issued should your proposal be accepted.
Making a proposal
Please use the following guidelines to submit a proposal:
Context for the exhibition (up to 100 words)
Media/ materials (up to 50 words)
3 images (no larger than 3MB each)
Proposed duration and timescale
Any proposed public events, talks or activities to accompany the exhibition
Please send this information to firstname.lastname@example.org. As a small team, we are unfortunately unable to respond to every proposal that we receive.
