The Oldpark Story Project
The purpose of this pilot project is to draw out those narratives, to generate alternative stories of place, and to provide residents with the skills to investigate, celebrate, and animate local history. It also produces a robust evidence base with which to inform policy decisions and the allocation of resources to local projects and interventions.

Open House Belfast
The Open House Festival concept was developed in London in 1992 by Open Cities, and has since spread to approx. 40 cities throughout the world where the weekend events now happen annually. Open House is a simple but powerful concept: opening up the best of a city’s built environment; buildings and infrastructure, for all to experience, free of charge. Open House initiatives invite everyone to explore and understand the value of a well-designed built environment.

PLACE Urban Walks
Want to know more about the architecture and streetscapes around you? PLACE provide Urban Walks throughout the year to promote and develop understanding of the built environment. Our Urban Walks use the city to encourage debate and awareness of the spaces we inhabit to live, work and play. Our walks are led by experienced and passionate guides with an eye for architectural details and an ear for great stories.
PLACE can facilitate private group walks to suit your school group, corporate or delegate function or family get-together. You can chose from our existing wide ranging walk offering (download brochure below), or we can provide an experienced guide to lead a custom walk to your requirements. Previous custom walks have catered for local and international groups and included topics of regeneration, architecture, urban planning and more.
